BASEBALL SEAMS PRINT PICTURE WITH NAVY MATTE

"In September of 2001, I created a way to express my love for baseball and for America in a single image - an American flag formed from the very seams of America's game. The image consists of three cut-up baseballs and a swatch of blue baseball jersey. Most baseball covers consist of two elongated pieces of cowhide and red cotton thread. The cowhide is hand-stitched together with exactly 216 raised stitches, using 88-inches of cotton thread. Just as the winding seams of thread hold a ball together, baseball continues to be a cornerstone that unites the citizens of our country. Baseball is the common ground that bridges generations, that joins races, that connects persons from every walk of life.
